THE SITUATION

Winefest typically takes place over 3-days, with more than 5 events and thousands of attendees experiencing a unique, elevated food and wine experience. With the implications of COVID, the event was postponed but as our new date approached, it was clear it was still an unsafe environment to host the event. The hospital partners with Do Good Events to create a roadmap of how to captivate their audience and raise funds during this challenging situation.

THE SUCCESS

Winefest@Home featured a large silent auction, coordinated dinner & wine offerings, and a complex live program. The program included more than 20 live segments, a panel of winemakers, three different musical performances, two emcees in different time zones and featured wine being auctioned off during the program. Our emcees, anchor Jason DeRusha and Jamie Yuccas kept the energy of this program very high-energy and viewership did not wane. The event went smoothly with guests viewing from their living rooms or small watch parties and coming together to raise their glasses and more than $500,000 to Children’s health. After the event, we coordinated auction pick-up of hundreds of bottles of wine. We utilized safe protocols with curbside pick-up and shipping options.
