By the end of RAISE + ARRANGE 2026, strands of yarn stretched across the room connecting strangers, all collaborating on new ideas that hadn’t existed earlier that day.
At Do Good Events, we don’t just design events; we design environments where people can think differently, connect meaningfully, and leave changed.
RAISE + ARRANGE was built with that intention at its core. In an industry that often rewards speed, production, and constant output, we wanted to create space for planners to slow down and reconnect with why they do this work in the first place.
At RAISE + ARRANGE, the final question isn’t just “what did you learn”, it’s “what will you do with the new ideas and knowledge you gained?”
To close the day, we partnered with JC Lippold to help answer that exact question.
What happened next perfectly embodied everything we believe great events should do.
Observing the Room
JC didn’t arrive with a rigid keynote or a one-size-fits-all framework. He moved through the day with curiosity and intention, observing the room, tracking energy, and noticing the moments that mattered:
- When ideas caused people to pause and reflect
- When guests opened their notebooks and something felt worth capturing
- When conversations shifted from transactional to meaningful
By the time the closing session began, JC hadn’t built a presentation, he had built awareness and then he turned it back to the room.
The Yarn Exercise
With a simple yet unforgettable exercise, attendees passed strands of yarn across the space, creating a web that connected every individual. What emerged was a living, breathing representation of the day itself:
- A network of shared ideas.
- A reflection of collective energy.
- A visible reminder that no one experiences an event in isolation.
In that moment, something clicked, not just for attendees, but for us as organizers. This is the work, not just filling an agenda, but building connections. Not just delivering content, but creating meaning.
This exercise was impactful because it wasn’t another voice telling us what to do next. It was opening our eyes to what was already happening in front of us. That’s the power of a mirror.
And it’s also a powerful reminder of our role at Do Good Events. We are not here to be the loudest voice in the room. We are not here to over-program or over-produce. We are here to design spaces where insights can surface, connection can take hold, and people can recognize the value already in front of them.
The Story Continues
The yarn may be packed away, but the connections remain.
Since RAISE + ARRANGE, we’ve watched attendees collaborate on events together, implement new ideas within their organizations, and continue conversations that began in that room. That’s exactly why this conference exists—not simply to inspire for a day, but to create momentum that lasts long after the lights go down.
As we continue to plan for the next RAISE + ARRANGE, we’re building another day for nonprofit professionals, event planners, fundraisers, and changemakers to step away from the day-to-day, connect with peers who understand the work, and leave with practical ideas they can put into action immediately.
Because the next great idea might come from a keynote or the person sitting beside you.
We’re already creating that space in 2027, and we hope you’ll be part of it.
